Honeydew Melon is the fruit of an annual plant with the scientific name Cucumis Melo of the Cucubitaceae family. The color of Honeydew Melon is dark green to yellowish green and has regular lines that meet at the tail. Iranian melon has a special place in the world markets and is exported to different countries every year. If a Honeydew Melon is harvested after it is fully ripe, it will have the highest amount of sugar, and the more unripe it is harvested, the less sugar it will have. If the Honeydew Melon is not harvested after it is fully ripe, its texture will be loose and watery.

Storage Conditions: Honeydew Melon should not be stored in the same place with vegetables with a strong smell or fruits that produce ethylene. For early ripening melon varieties, a suitable temperature between 0 and 6 degrees Celsius is recommended, and for medium and late ripening varieties, between 8 and 10 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity of the air should be between 85 and 90 percent. Air circulation for each ton of fruit should be between 40 and 50 cubic meters per hour.
