Shiny Red Barberry (Dane Anari)
08109020Shiny Red Barberry (Dane Anari) is the fruit of the Berberis Vulgaris plant from the Berberidaceae family. Barberry is cultivated in the cold climate of Iran (South Khorasan). Fresh barberries are usually oval in shape with a large diameter of 0.7 to 0.9 cm and a small diameter of 0.3 to 0.6 cm, which turns bright red after ripening and becomes wrinkled and slightly darker after drying. The fruit of this species is seedless. Shiny Red Barberry (Dane Anari) is separated from the cluster and transferred to the preparation place. Separating the barberry with clusters instead of branches speeds up their drying and makes the work easier. Shiny Red Barberry (Dane Anari) are dried in the sun after being separated from the clusters, and then with the help of blowing wind and special devices, they are separated from the small branches of the cluster and their heavy blades and are ready for consumption. The color of Shiny Red Barberry (Dane Anari) is darker due to drying in the sun. Shiny Red Barberry (Dane Anari) has a lower quality and its red color is lighter. For this reason, it can be found in the market at a lower price and therefore has its fans.
