Bu ürün, Hemedan iline bağlı Malayer şehrinde üretilmektedir. Malayer üzüm kurusunun şeker içeriği Sultani üzüm kurusuna göre daha düşük olduğundan daha az tatlıdır. Hemedan iline bağlı Malayer şehri, Malayer üzüm kurusunun en büyük üretimine sahiptir.
