Zizyphus
Zizyphus with the scientific name Zizyphus spina - Christi L. is a tree with a height of about 10 meters with white to gray branches and heart-shaped and stretched leaves with three prominent veins that have turned into thorns. The fruit of this plant is egg-shaped. It is yellow and edible. This tree is in different regions of southern Iran. Since ancient times, the ground leaves of the kanar tree have been used as a cleaning agent for hair and body, and it is still commonly used. The cleansing power of Zizyphus comes from the saponin present in the leaves of this plant. Zizyphus grows in the southern provinces of Iran, i.e. Khuzestan, Fars, Bushehr to Hormozgan and Sistan and Baluchistan province.
