Safflower
12076090Safflower is the yellow-reddish tubular flowers of Carthamus Tinctorius L. from the Compositac family. Safflower is a one-year or two-year-old plant, with a stem of 30 to 60 cm in height, whose leaves are serrated with teeth leading to fine thorns and sharp tips. Its flowers are generally tubular and have a reddish-yellow color and gradually turn yellow-orange. From the tubular flowers of the capitols of this plant, a yellow substance soluble in water and another red substance soluble in alkaline water were obtained. The last color substance is called Carthamince or Carthaminc Acid and it is extracted from the tubular flowers of saffron capitols. Our safflower is cultivated in the fertile soils of Iran, under optimal growing conditions, ensuring the highest quality product. Our safflower is grown and processed according to international standards, and we hold all necessary certifications for export.
