Asafoetida is a gum and resin obtained from the stem and root of the Ferula assa foetida plant and from the Umbelli fereae family. Sweet Asafoetida is made from cutting the stem of the plant and its color is transparent brown and contains parts of the stem, and the type without the stem is called Resin of Asafoetida and its color is golden yellow or gray. Currently, 14 species of licorice plant are known. The most commonly used licorice in trade is G. glabra varieties, which are Typica in central and southern Europe, Glandulifera in central and southern Russia, and Violacea in Iran and Iraq. One of the most important compounds of licorice is glycyrrhizin, which is attributed to this compound. In various scientific sources, the sweetness of glycyrrhizin is 30 to 50 times that of ordinary sugar. Licorice Extract Granules has the ability to dissolve quickly in hot water and its taste is very strong. Using modern machines in the factory, granules are produced in small sizes of 0.5 to 2 mm. The stem of this plant in the wild type is 0.5 to 1.5 meters high and its cultivated type is about 2 meters. The chicory stem is narrow and has few branches in the area near its head. This plant has a strong root with the diameter of a finger and is 0.5 to 1 meter long. Its color is brown and its section tends to be white. The leaves are alternate and covered with many threads around the middle veins. Its flowers are beautiful and blue in color, covering all its stems and branches, and in some cases, they are white or purple flowers. Chicory leaves contain sulfates, sodium phosphates, magnesium, potassium, and glucoside. Chicory root contains inulin, glucose, levols, sucrose and a mucilaginous resin substance and a little tannin.

Henna leaves are harvested twice a year. At the beginning of July, it is called Henna Garma, which has thick, light green leaves, and at the end of November, it is called Henna Qos, which is dark green in color. Henna dye is called Lawsone, It has the molecular formula C10H6O3 which is extracted from henna leaves. Henna leaf powder is traditionally used to dye hands, feet and hair, and in traditional medicine, henna mixed with water is used as an anti-microbial and anti-fungal agent. Its other uses can be mentioned in the textile and dyeing industries and its other forms such as extracts in some cosmetic products such as shampoos, hair dyes and sun creams.

Safflower is the yellow-reddish tubular flowers of Carthamus Tinctorius L. from the Compositac family. Safflower is a one-year or two-year-old plant, with a stem of 30 to 60 cm in height, whose leaves are serrated with teeth leading to fine thorns and sharp tips. Its flowers are generally tubular and have a reddish-yellow color and gradually turn yellow-orange. From the tubular flowers of the capitols of this plant, a yellow substance soluble in water and another red substance soluble in alkaline water were obtained. The last color substance is called Carthamince or Carthaminc Acid and it is extracted from the tubular flowers of saffron capitols.
